TfL Turns 25 – And London Transport Is Getting a Colourful Makeover

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Transport for London (TfL) is giving its network a bold new look. A special purple-blue wrap is being added to buses, DLR, trams, Overground, Jubilee line trains, Cable Cars, Elizabeth line, and even a taxi.

The new designs feature highlights from TfL’s last 25 years — like the launch of the Oyster card and Elizabeth line opening — and a special anniversary roundel will appear on Santander Cycles.

TfL is also hosting events, exhibitions, and competitions throughout the year, including:

  • A poster design contest at the London Transport Museum

  • A photography call-out for Santander Cycles’ 15th birthday

  • And public celebrations reflecting on two and a half decades of travel milestones

The limited-edition designs will remain on the network until the end of 2025.
