Hop on a Vintage Art Deco Tube Train in London This Summer!

Londoners, ready for a bit of time travel?

This July (11–13), you can ride on a restored 1938 Tube train along the Piccadilly Line — complete with dreamy Art Deco vibes, moquette seats, and retro lights. It’s all thanks to the London Transport Museum, bringing back the charm of old-school travel.

Here’s what to expect on the ‘Piccadilly Medley’ heritage journeys:

  • July 11: Northfields to Heathrow Terminal 4 and back (45–50 mins)

  • July 12: Acton Town to Uxbridge via classic Charles Holden stations (90 mins)

  • July 13: Ealing Broadway to Cockfosters — through real Underground tunnels! (70 mins each way)

If you’ve ever wanted to experience London’s Tube the way it was 85 years ago, this is your chance.

Flying from Heathrow Soon? Don’t Miss These 4 Quick Tips

Heathrow Airport just shared some handy reminders for a smoother security check — here’s what you need to know before you fly:

  1. Liquids: Keep all liquids under 100ml in a clear, resealable bag (20cm x 20cm). Think toothpaste, perfume, soup, even lip gloss. No sneaking big bottles — they won’t make it through!

  2. Luggage Limit: Stick to just two pieces of hand luggage. That includes your handbag or laptop bag. Oversized bags? Straight to the hold.

  3. Electronics: Put devices like laptops, phones, and tablets in a separate tray. Oh, and charge them fully — if they don’t switch on, they might not be allowed onboard.

  4. Trays: Keep it neat. Fewer trays = faster security for everyone.

Heathrow’s reminder: Being prepared helps everyone fly through security with less stress. Safe travels!
