London’s Next Heatwave Is Coming: July 9–16

After a record-breaking June and a scorching 34.7°C earlier this month, another heatwave is set to hit London from Wednesday, July 9 to Wednesday, July 16.

Temperatures will range from 28°C to 31°C, with plenty of sunshine and light breezes. The hottest day is expected to be Sunday, July 13, hitting 31°C.

Here’s the quick forecast:

• July 9–10: 28°C, sunny and breezy

• July 11–12: Rising to 29–30°C

• July 13–16: Peaking at 31°C, then holding at 29–30°C

Amber heat health alerts are in place – so remember to stay hydrated, avoid peak sun hours, and check in on vulnerable neighbours.
