How to do it:

  • Enter and head straight to Room 43 (home to Van Gogh’s Sunflowers)

  • Sit on the bench and just look at it

  • Watch how the brushstrokes feel alive. Let your mind wander

  • If Van Gogh isn’t your thing, try Room 34 (Turner), or Room 30 (Impressionists)

  • No photos, no rushing — just one room, one painting, one moment

Best for: Central London breaks, solo thinkers, fast inspiration

  • Stop in the Great Gallery to see works by Frans Hals, Velázquez, and Rubens

  • It’s peaceful, rarely crowded, and feels like a secret mansion

  • Find your favourite painting, sit down, and get lost in it
