Brick Lane Curry Festival Returns After 9 Years – And It’s Free!
After almost a decade away, the Brick Lane Curry Festival is finally back this weekend — and it’s completely free to attend.
Running from September 19–21, the festival will bring food, colour, and culture back to the East End. Expect henna painting, Bangla-style dance classes, street food, and plenty of community events across the first two days.
The main event is on September 21, kicking off with a vibrant street procession from Buxton Street to the Brick Lane Arch. The day will be filled with food stalls from local curry houses, live cooking demos, DJs, street art, stilt-walkers, and performers.
Brick Lane, long celebrated as the ‘Curry Capital’ of the UK, will once again be the place to eat, celebrate, and experience its rich cultural heritage.
📍 Dates: Sept 19–21 (main event on Sept 21, 12pm–9pm)
