London Marathon Weekend Travel Warning (Closures You Need to Know)

Quick update before you head out this weekend 👇

Even though the Tube strikes are ending, travel disruption isn’t over yet.

📍 This weekend (April 25–26):

  • Piccadilly line partly closed
    → No trains between Wood Green ↔ Cockfosters
    → No service Rayners Lane ↔ Uxbridge

  • Early Sunday morning: no service King’s Cross ↔ Cockfosters

  • District line skipping Barons Court eastbound

  • Waterloo & City line closed (as usual on weekends)

👉 Big thing: London Marathon is happening Sunday
Good news strikes won’t hit race day
Bad news trains will still be busy + confusing

Also:

  • Bus strikes in East London (routes 8, 25, 205, 425, N routes) until early Saturday

👉 Plan extra time. Double-check routes. Avoid last-minute travel.
